Farmhouse Cottage
The Farmhouse Cottage is the original Mayhurst Plantation School House (c 1859) has just been completely restored with all modern amenities. The perfect place for a romantic stay. School was NEVER like this.
The Willis children likely sat through many a class in the “school house.” Although they had the same fireplace, they didn’t have central air and heat, a full bath, kitchen, and a queen size bed.
The first restoration was completed in September 2004, and the cottage was renovated again in May of 2020. Guests can choose to enjoy all the amenities of the Manor House and enjoy the nights in the privacy and warmth of their own “class room” or the kitchen can be stocked for their own use. Virginia Wine or Champagne can be included to make a perfect stay even better.
Note: The Wi-Fi at the farmhouse is a bit inconsistent, but you’re welcome to come to the main house if you need Wi-Fi.
