The Colonists called it the Uplands.
Today that gently sloping, rolling pastoral land at the base of the Blue Ridge is known as the Piedmont. Mayhurst was a 1700 acre Piedmont Estate. Our Piedmont Suite is two rooms divided by the bathroom, which has a shower over the tub. The romantic queen bedchamber with fireplace has a quiet, private location on the third floor. Relax in the sitting room on the wicker daybed, or a big comfy chair.
