Each of our lovely rooms is centrally air-conditioned, has a private bath, hairdryer, Fine Chocolates, bottled water, quality toiletries, luxury linens and High Speed WiFi. All eight rooms have romantic fireplaces. The Garden Room is fully compliant with the regulations of the American Disabilities Act. Guaranteeing a reservation: Receipt of a deposit of one night's stay or half the total stay will hold a reservation. We accept personal and Travelers checks, MasterCard, American Express, Visa and Discover. When a credit card is used for a reservation it is processed the day the reservation is made. Checks should be received within 7 days of making a reservation. Cancellations: Refunds, less a $20.00 processing and cancellation fee, will be made if notice of cancellation is received at least 10 days before the date of arrival. Otherwise, deposits are not refundable unless the room is rebooked. Party of 3 or 4? Several rooms either have beds for three and/or lend themselves to accommodating a rollaway. They are: Garden, Madison, Italian Suite, and Piedmont Suite. Each additional person in a room is $25. To make reservations: You may phone us toll free at (888) 672-5597, click on the On-Line Availability and Reservations link above, or send an e-mail with your requirements to email. Inn-formation: Check in/out: Check-in is from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Check out is by 12 noon. If your plans call for a later arrival please inform us so that we may greet you properly. Breakfast: Enjoy a full, bountiful breakfast of baked breads and muffins, juices, individual fruit plates and rotating entree course. Special diets can be accommodated. Of course there is always plenty of freshly ground gourmet coffee, or teas to your taste. Breakfast is served from 8:30 to 10:00 on the patio courtyard, or in front of the fireplace in the dining room. Other times can be accommodated. Smoking: For the comfort and health of all guests, smoking is not permitted inside the Inn. Our guests may smoke on the front porch, balcony of the Italian Suite, terrace of the Garden room and grounds. Children: Well behaved, supervised children are welcome. Pets: We accommodate pets in the "School House" only. Pets are not allowed in the Manor House. An additional $25 charge per stay is assessed for the special cleaning required. We have two resident cats that reside in the owner's quarters. Virginia Green Lodging - We believe in protecting our environment. Mayhurst has several "Green" initiatives including: Recycling, use of CFL Bulbs, water conserving bathroom fixtures, use of Energy Star appliances and a number of guest selectable methods to reduce energy and water use. Mayhurst "Green Policies" are listed in our Guest Information Folders in each Guest Room. We encourage our guests to help preserve our environment. Business Guests: We welcome business guests, with reduced rates for single occupancy, Sunday through Thursday. Business travelers entertaining clients or requiring small meeting facilities will find a private room plus phone, fax and printer/copier on premises. All rooms have High Speed WIFI access, power strips, chairs and working surfaces. Catch up on cable news or the Washington Post over coffee in the library prior to breakfast. A lite or hearty breakfast is served at a time to suit your schedule. Lite eaters might enjoy granola: a plate of fresh fruit, and/or yogurt. Heartier appetites will opt for our full Plantation Style breakfast. All meals are accompanied by juice, coffee, tea and breads. Rate for our Road Runner Special is $99.95 + tax per day.
